Source history

Snapshots describe exact source state. Changes carry the intent and review around it.

Snapshots and proposals

A commit records a local Source Graph snapshot. Pushing makes it available as a proposal; landing advances the repository after review and checks. These are separate decisions.

Terminal
b8grid sg log
b8grid sg diff

Work with a large repository

A metadata-only clone avoids materializing every file. Hydrate the paths you need from its bound snapshot. The current implementation still caches the source closure; it does not promise zero blob transfer.

Terminal
b8grid sg hydrate README.md src/review

Keep local recovery explicit

If an operation reports WORKSPACE_RECOVERY_REQUIRED, recover the recorded transaction and inspect the result before retrying a commit.

Terminal
b8grid sg recover
b8grid sg doctor
b8grid sg log

For intentional edits, save a checkpoint first. Undo creates a safety checkpoint before restoring the selected state.

Terminal
b8grid sg checkpoint create --name before-edit
b8grid sg checkpoint list
b8grid sg undo <checkpoint-id>
